PROMOTION OF INVESTMENTS (PROMOTED ACTIVITIES AND PROMOTED PRODUCTS
FOR HIGH TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2001

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Promotion of Investments Act 1986 [Act 327 ], the Minister makes the following order:

 

Citation and commencement

 

1.(1) This order may be cited as the Promotion of Investments (Promoted Activities and Promoted Products for High Technology Companies) (Amendment) Order 2001.

 

(2)  The amendment in subparagraph 2(a) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 20 July 2001.

 

(3)  The amendment in subparagraph 2(b) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 5 July 2001.

 

 

Amendment of Schedule

 

2.  The Schedule to the Promotion of Investments (Promoted Activities and Promoted Products for High Technology Companies) Order 1995 [P.U.(A) 32/95] is amended —

 

(a)   in item II under the column “Industries”, by inserting after item 1(c) under the column “Products/Activities” the following item:

 

“(d)  development and production of cyclonic separation equipment ”; and

 

(b)   in item V under the column “Industries”, by inserting after item (1) under the column “Products/Activities” the following item:

 

“(2)  Design, development and production of cameras including lens units, lens barrel units and view finder units”.
