PROMOTION OF INVESTMENTS (PROMOTED ACTIVITIES AND PROMOTED PRODUCTS
FOR SMALL SCALE COMPANIES) (AMENDMENT) ORDER 2001

IN exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Promotion of Investments Act 1986 [Act 327 ], the Minister makes the following order:

 

Citation and commencement

 

1.(1) This order may be cited as the Promotion of Investments (Promoted Activities and Promoted Products for Small Scale Companies) (Amendment) Order 2001.

 

(2)  The amendment in subparagraph 2(a) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 20 July 2001.

 

(3)  The amendment in subparagraph 2(b) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 12 February 2001.

 

(4)  The amendment in subparagraph 2(c) shall be deemed to have come into operation on 16 August 2001.

 

 

Amendment of Schedule

 

2.  The Schedule to the Promotion of Investments (Promoted Activities and Promoted Products for Small Scale Companies) Order 1998 [P.U.(A) 81/98 ] is amended —

 

(a)   in item XIV under the column “Industries”, by inserting after item (11) under the column “Products/Activities” the following item:

 

“ (12)   Three phase electrical accessories or devices”; and

 

(b)   in item XXII under the column “Industries”, by inserting after item (1) under the column “Products/Activities” the following item:

 

“(2)   Plastic coil mats”; and

 

(c)   in item XXII under the column “Industries”, by inserting after item (2) under the column “Products/Activities” the following item:

 

“(3)  Bathroom accessories and kitchen accessories”.
